Description

Vintage WWII Candy Tin "NEDERLAND VRIJ 5 Mei 1945." (Free Netherlands 5 May 1945). Distributed on day of Netherlands liberation from German occupation. An example of one of these tins is displayed in the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, DC. The tin depicts young Royal Princesses Beatrix, Irene and Margriet on one lid and the Dutch Flag on the other lid (double ended tin). Some wear, good overall condition considering age and context. Measures approximately 2 1/2" length and 2 1/16" diameter. Please see pictures.
