Soviet Medal for Meritorious Labor during the Great Patriotic War (WW2 Labor Front Medal), Variation 3, 1960s-80s issue.
This is GUARANTEED 100% ORIGINAL Official Soviet-made decoration awarded to a participant of the Home Front during the Great Patriotic War against the Nazis – NOT a souvenir, recent reissue, or replica!
The medallion is in copper; 32 mm wide. Unlike the 1940’s versions of the same award, this medal is of single-piece construction, with the rounded eyelet struck together with the medal. This so-called “Voenkomat” version, belatedly awarded to Soviet WW2 workers who for whatever reason had not received the medal earlier and could prove eligibility. Awards such as this were issued long after the war, typically by a military commissariat in the recipient’s hometown, called Voenkomat in Russian.
